How long has Skelly Electric been in business?

Skelly Electric, Inc. was established in 1976. With over 45 years of experience, we bring a wealth of expertise to every electrical project.

What types of services or repairs does Skelly Electric offer?

  • We install, service, and provide maintenance for home standby generator brands Kohler and Generac.
  • We install and service backup battery systems. 
  • We design, install, repair, and upgrade PV systems.
  • We install, service, and maintain industrial fans for Big Ass Fans and Macro Air.

Is Skelly Electric licensed and certified?

Yes. Skelly Electric has a C-10 license. Journeymen electricians, electrical trainees, and certified technicians for generators, PV systems, and industrial fans. Each member of our staff and crew receives the training and certification required for their respective field of work in the office and in the field.

What geographic areas does Skelly Electric serve?

While based in Escondido, CA, our projects extend from San Diego to Sacramento. We cater to both residential and commercial clients across a diverse range of locations.

How does Skelly Electric handle maintenance and repairs?

Skelly Electric takes pride in addressing issues promptly, even those left unresolved by other companies. We view maintenance and repairs as crucial for the seamless functionality of generators and fans.

Does Skelly Electric sell industrial fans, or do they only install them?

While we primarily focus on installation and maintenance, we can guide you on the selection and sourcing of industrial fans. Our expertise lies in ensuring these solutions integrate seamlessly with your space.

What brands does Skelly Electric partner with for generators, batteries, and industrial fans?

 Skelly Electric has established partnerships with leading brands, including Generac, Kohler, Powercell, Fortress, Tesla, Big Ass Fans, MacroAir, and Enphase.

Can Skelly Electric help with residential solar installations?

Absolutely! We specialize in designing, installing, and servicing solar energy systems for both residential and commercial clients. Our expertise covers various solar solutions, from rooftop installations to ground-mounted systems.

What are Skelly Electric’s business hours?

We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

What payment options does Skelly Electric accept?

We accept Cash, Check, and Credit (with a 3.1% processing fee).

How can I schedule a consultation with Skelly Electric?

To request a consultation, please call or email us. We offer on-site visits as needed and recommend virtual consultations for a more rapid turnaround time for proposals.

How often should my generator receive maintenance?

For specifics, please refer to the Owner’s Manual for your generator
Air-cooled generators – every 1-2 years depending on use
Liquid-cooled – Checkup every 6 months, and maintenance as needed every 1-2 years

What type/levels of training do your employees have?

We have electrical journeymen, Electrical Technicians, aerial lift operators, and trainers. We have all the required certifications from our partners and support our employees to complete annual and semi-annual continuing education to maintain these credentials.

Is Skelly Electric hiring?

We hire on an as-needed basis. This is with the intention of long-term employment. However, the construction trade is always subject to cyclical stability. We do our best to provide a 40-hour work week to each employee.

Does Skelly Electric provide emergency services?

We have limited availability to address emergency issues. This limitation is reserved for generators installed by SE through the SDG&E. All other issues can be addressed on a first-come, first-served basis the following business day (if possible) or within the next few work days, depending on the scope of work and availability.

Why should I invest in backup power?

Investing in backup power ensures uninterrupted electricity during outages, protecting sensitive equipment, providing autonomy during utility strain, offering peace of mind, enabling business continuity, and allowing for customizable solutions tailored to your specific needs.

Can Skelly Electric service my generator?

We service home stand-by generators, air-cooled and liquid-cooled, up to 150kW. We do not service portable generators at this time. We do not service industrial generators.

Can Skelly Electric upgrade my solar system?

Yes. We will need to perform a site visit to evaluate how feasible the project will be and to identify the current system in use.
