FAQs
Why should I invest in a generator?
Renewable energies are less reliable. Gone are the days of reliable and available power. Though renewable energies are more eco-friendly, they are less reliable. Solar systems only produce power when the sun shines. Wind generators work when the wind blows. Hydro power has limited capacity and is reliant on weather patterns for water levels. Geo-thermal power generation is expensive and has limited potential to ramp up/down to meet demand. All these renewable power sources, even combined, can not provide the flexibility when needed to ramp up production to meet demand. This results in utility companies turning power off more frequently to avoid over-burdening the system. Especially during extreme weather conditions.
With changes in the reliability of our current electrical infrastructure and increasing risk of weather related outages (fire, wind, rains), a generator in San Diego is no longer a luxury investment. You may have a family with 24 hour medical needs, a business to run, or need to survive the heat during the peak of summer. Whatever your reason, backup power is now a necessity. This is why we have teamed up with industry leaders Generac and Kohler to provide you with the power options you need to keep the lights.
How much does it cost to purchase and install a backup generator?
It depends on what sized generator you need. Contact us to discuss what size works best for your backup power needs.
How long does it take to install my generator?
Installation is estimated to be around 2-3 hours, however, depending on the generator size/type, the job site and the project, it may take a considerable amount longer.
Will you install a generator I purchased elsewhere?
Yes! If you have already purchased a generator (Gennerac or Kohler) from a third party, we are more than happy to complete the installation. Keep in mind that we follow all recommended installation guidelines and local and federal codes paper. If it is a used generator it is no longer covered under any warranty
